We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Analyst to support financial reporting, accounting operations, and trading activities within the Utilities sector. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in financial analysis and operational support, and a passion for the energy and power industry.

Key Responsibilities

Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across generation and trading operations.
Assist in monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Analyze trading data and market movements to support risk management and compliance reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Maintain and enhance reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility into operational and financial performance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to energy trading and financial transactions.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or trading operations—preferably within the Utilities or Energy sector.
Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Familiarity with energy markets, trading platforms, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FERC, NERC) is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
